The Baja Road Race

The Baja Road Race is 1,000 miles long. At the half-way point, Speedy Gonzales calculates that he has been driving at an average speed of 50 miles per hour. How fast should he drive the second half of the race if he wants to attain an overall average of 100 miles per hour?

Speedy will have to drive at an infinite speed in order to average 100 miles per hour for the course. He must drive the whole 1,000 miles in 10 hours to attain the required speed, but he has already used up his 10 hours to drive the first half of the course. He will have to finish the race in zero time!
