They found a convenient flat and straight road containing mileage markers. John started running at the 24-mile marker and ran to the 6-mile indicator, while Bill drove the car alongside him. He ran the distance in three hours and twelve minutes. Bill ran from the 6-mile marker to the first in one hour and two minutes. Who was the faster runner?
